What is the Equipment Damage Waiver?
The Equipment Damage Waiver is a contractual agreement between Celsius Hire and you – the customer. Where applicable, and subject to conditions, Celsius Hire may waive all or part of the costs associated with accidental physical damage during the hire period.
It applies only when equipment is:
- Installed and operated correctly
- Used in line with Celsius Hire guidance
- Actively protected from avoidable site risks
It operates alongside the hire agreement and Celsius Hire Terms and Conditions.
Tiered Cover, Matched to Site Risk
The Equipment Damage Waiver is offered in two tiers. The appropriate tier is selected by Celsius Hire based on equipment type, site conditions and overall risk profile.
Tier 1 – Accidental Damage Only
Designed for controlled or managed environments.
Provides cover for sudden, unforeseen physical damage caused during normal and authorised use.
Examples may include:
- Accidental impact during routine site activity
- Damage during connection, operation or shutdown
- Unintentional damage caused by on site personnel
Lower risk sites. Accidental damage only.
Tier 2 – All Risks Cover
Designed for more complex, exposed or higher risk environments.
Provides broader cover for sudden and unforeseen physical damage, subject to defined exclusions.
Suitable for:
- High traffic sites
- Longer term installations
- More complex or exposed environments
This remains a contractual waiver, not insurance.
Important Exclusions
Regardless of tier, the Equipment Damage Waiver does not cover:
- Theft or unexplained loss
- Deliberate, reckless or malicious acts
- Gross negligence or misuse
- Incorrect installation or unauthorised modification
- Wear and tear, consumables or cosmetic damage
