Why Hire a Heat Pump Chiller
Cooling and heating from the same unit removes a decision most hires force on you upfront. A reverse cycle heat pump chiller runs in cooling mode, heating mode, or switches automatically based on an ambient air temperature probe. That suits sites where the load changes with the season, or where one footprint has to cover both duties without a second mobilisation.
Every unit in the range connects directly to your existing water/glycol circuit. Pair it with Celsius Hire's ancillary fleet, including buffer tanks, circulation pumps, and plate heat exchangers, and you get a complete temporary cooling and heating solution on sites with no existing infrastructure to tie into.
Heat pump chillers fit:
- Emergency breakdown cover. A failed chiller or boiler needs immediate replacement, and the load could shift between cooling and heating during the works.
- Planned shutdowns and maintenance windows. Cooling and heating provision both need temporary cover across the same period.
- Critical environments. Data centres, cold chain, and pharma sites need tight control over fluid leaving temperature in both directions.
- Seasonal or variable-load sites. One unit serves cooling duty in summer and heating duty in winter without a swap-out.
All three units hold a -12°C to +50°C fluid leaving temperature range (the 70KW and 125KW extend to -15°C), so the same chiller can cover process cooling and space or process heating without changing equipment.
