Since last year’s BBQ, the team’s grown again. More faces, more food, more laughs in the yard.
After our busiest summer yet, it was a well deserved treat for everyone.
The whole team, together for an afternoon. Phones down, no jobs booked in. Though, as always, we’d have dropped everything for a site emergency.

The food
Jake and Callum ran the BBQ again this year, and the food was beyond delicious, as always.
There’s a reason they get the job every summer.
The drinks
Our original 7kW chiller rigged up as the drinks cooler, keeping everything ice cold through the afternoon heat.
Fitting, really, given what we do for a living. If a chiller that’s been out on hire jobs for years can still nail a summer BBQ, that tells you something about how these units hold up.

The football
No BBQ is complete without a kickabout in the yard, and this year’s was more competitive than it had any right to be.
Bragging rights are still being argued over.
The people
Beyond the food and the football, the real value of the day was simple: time together.
Great chats, catching up with people we don’t see enough of day to day. With the team bigger than ever, this year’s BBQ was the biggest one yet.

Why it matters
Days like this matter. It’s one of our favourite dates on the calendar every year, and after the summer we’ve had, it was a well earned pause. This year’s BBQ was one to remember, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
